Even as a little girl she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dreams come true. Dr Marj Paterson graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1980 and joined the staff at McCleary Animal Hospital in 1981. Dr Paterson fell in love with the clients, the patients and community so she welcomed the opportunity to purchase the practice in 2006. She has the honour and privledge of meeting, treating and befriending pet owners and their companions. Whether they are long time loyal friends or new to her community, Dr Marj will welcome you to her hospital and work with you to ensure a happy healthy life for your pet.
Someone once told that little girl to make sure you pick a job you really love because hopefully you will be doing it for a really really long time. Dr Paterson loves her job. She is continually upgrading her skills & knowledge so that she may offer the best to her clients. Her love of animals carries over to her home which she shares with her border collie Dodger and Harri the new kitty on the block. None of this would be possible without the care and understanding of her husband Ken – He has supported her and been by her side since they met in 1980. While her heart is at the hospital, Dr Marj sets her soul free when sitting on top of her horses Rocky, Red and Orlando.
In Loving Memory
Even those who work in the veterinary field must one day say good bye to their beloved companions. We honour those who have gone before.
